What this site is built to, where we know it falls short, and how to tell us when a page gets in your way.

The standard we build to
This site is built against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. We describe that as the standard we work to rather than as a certificate, because no independent audit has been carried out. Saying otherwise would be a claim we cannot source, and this site does not make those.

What that means on the page
Colour pairings are measured rather than eyeballed: body text sits at 14.9:1 against the paper background, against the 4.5:1 the guidelines ask. Body copy is set in a serif at a 68-character measure because this site is written to be read at length, and measure matters more than font size for that. Every page works from the keyboard alone with a visible focus outline, images carry alt text, headings run in order so a screen reader can navigate by structure, and motion is disabled automatically for anyone whose device asks for reduced motion.

Known limits
The map at the foot of every page is a Google Maps embed, and we do not control what it exposes to assistive technology. Everything it shows — the town, the postal code, the county we cover, and a directions link — is written in text in the plate beside it, so nothing lives only inside the map. The coverage map on the areas page is drawn as static markup with text labels for the same reason.

If a page here is getting in your way, call (848) 272-9900 and say which page and what happened, and we will fix it. You are also welcome to skip the site entirely and describe the job on the phone — the website is one way to reach us and never the only one. We answer 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
