In short

What does a handyman handle in Millstone Township?

Local record

Three things on file about houses here

01

Ten-acre minimum lots, by design

Millstone Township’s Rural Zone-Preservation district carries a ten-acre minimum lot size, written specifically to hold the township’s rural character and protect open space and farmland. Across 36.6 square miles that produces a settlement pattern with very few close neighbours and very long service runs.

02

No public sewer and no public water

The absence of public sewer and water systems is part of what keeps the township rural, and it means private wells and individual septic are the norm rather than the exception. On lots this size the run between fixture, well, septic field and road is long, and a pressure drop or a slow drain has considerably more places to go wrong than it would on a quarter-acre plot.

03

1,026 acres formally preserved as farmland

Millstone has taken 1,026 acres into preserved farmland through the county programme, and the township remains predominantly agricultural and residential rather than suburban. This is the western, inland end of Monmouth County — no salt air, no tidal flooding, and a different set of problems from the shore entirely.

5 out of 5 on our Google Business Profile

  • I’m so glad to have The Trusty Monmouth County Handyman out and repair my kitchen cabinets. The previous homeowner did not use the correct screws and even missed the studs on some of them. All secure and up to code now. He finished a little early and asked what else he could look at and cleaned out the tub drain too.

  • I called on The Trusty Monmouth County Handyman Services once again. This time I needed drywall repair. The texture that was applied to the ceilings during construction of this house — over time the texture started to release and some of it fell. I tried to repair this myself but had no luck. I’m not permitted to use ladders anymore since I have the tendency to fall off. That’s why I called the Handyman. He fixed all my texture that was falling. He also inspected the rest of my ceiling to check for any cracking so he could prevent another collapse. I have to tell you; this outfit is top notch.
