1,254 acres of the township are flood hazard land
Wall has roughly 1,254 acres inside the flood hazard area, of which more than 370 acres belong to the Shark River and its tributaries. Parts of the township flood tidally rather than from rainfall — segments of the Shark River back up on unusually high tides — so two properties a mile apart can have completely different exposure.
